The Tool Room Division of M/s. Godrej & Boyce Manufacturing Company Limited is one of the leading commercial tool rooms of India. Besides catering to the tooling needs of various other divisions within the company, today it encompasses the entire spectrum of the industry, including exports. 

With probably the largest capacity of design and manufacturing, this unit has the ability to develop all types of tools; Injection moulds, Press Tools & Pressure Casting Dies. This division has a reputation of developing the most intricate tools to very high quality standards and that too in shortest possible time. In a number of cases, they have matched the international standards and quite often surpassed them while maintaining a lower price tag.


Being such a versatile organisation, they receive data from customers various formats i.e. 2d paper or CAD drawings, 3D CAD models in IGES or other formats etc. They convert these into the 3D CAD environment and design the necessary tooling for it.The critical parts of the tools designed, are transferred to the CAM module from which the CNC programs are generated.


In critical cases, when the time available is less and the part geometry is complex, they send the STL data of the part to Protosys for the development of a prototype immediately after the 3D CAD model stage.This ensures that the data given by the customer has been converted properly and visualisation of intricate features of the product at the right time. Based on this prototype, the tooling design and in certain cases, the manufacturing plan can also be finalised with lesser number of either on-screen or on-machines trials. Thus reducing the time, money & trouble of corrections by doing it right the first time.
